Pneumatic Conveying Solutions

The traditional methods of conveying powder, granular, and solid materials include the use of mechanical conveying equipment, such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors, and vertical elevators. In the current market, however, such materials are conveyed with great efficiency by means of compressed air in a closed pipeline. Pneumatic conveying systems are, in essence, relatively straightforward. This system is suitable for the transportation of dusty and granular materials in a variety of settings, including factories, fields, and plants. This method of transportation is a system designed for the conveyance of a range of dry powders and granular materials.

The system requirements typically include compressed air, a transport pipeline, and a separating unit for the separation of transported material and carrier air. The transportation of materials can be facilitated by the use of compressed air at varying pressures, including high, low, or negative pressure. Dry air may be used for hygroscopic materials, while an inert gas such as nitrogen may be used for potentially explosive materials. The amount of air to be used and the air pressure are determined at the design stage, depending on the product characteristics and capacity. In accordance with this design, the system is classified as either dense-phase or sparse-phase pneumatic conveying.
