Venturi Scrubber units are suitable for separating aerosols and fine dust from gas streams. It is the right choice for particle sizes of approximately 0.7 µm. Dust particles are captured by impinging on the wash droplets in the venturi throat. There is a speed adjustment valve in the venturi throat to allow variable air inlet flows.
The wash medium is delivered by spray nozzles located in the venturi throat. The spray density is such that it covers the entire venturi. The venturi scrubber causes a pressure drop in the gas stream. Typical pressure drop ranges from 5 to 20mbar. These values may vary depending on the overall pressure and particle characteristics.
